Membership Info
Pixie Park co-op is a self-sustaining organization that leases space from Marin Art and Garden Center and maintains the playground independently.
In addition to a membership fee, we also depend on fundraising efforts to cover our expenses and on volunteer time from our members. Since the early 1950's, Pixie Park has been a volunteer-run co-op designed for young children.
-
Beautiful enclosed (gated & locked) playground for your family and friends accessible only to members

Members are eligible to rent the space for birthday parties for a low fee (see Birthday Parties)
-
Member, social, and community events
While we have a secure/locked playground (co-op members receive a gate code), our co-op stands for openness and inclusion and wants to welcome all to enjoy the park. To achieve this while also funding important and costly ongoing park maintenance and improvements with member fees, we make Pixie accessible to all children:
-
We generally host "open houses" once a month month. This is a way to visit the park periodically, or to visit before joining. Please RSVP for an upcoming Open House.
-
We offer reduced or no-fee memberships on a need basis. Please see the options below and then get in touch with us at membership@pixiepark.org if you are interested in any of these options, or to discuss other possibilities.

FAQs re membership
-
What does the membership fee go towards? Pixie is a 501(c)3 non-profit co-op. The membership fees alone do not sustain the park; we rely on a number of fundraising events throughout the year to close our budget gap. Membership fees and funds raised through events and donations go to pay our monthly rent to the Marin Art & Garden Center, insurance, park maintenance (landscaping, cleaning the bathrooms, supplies) and other expenses.
-
Can anyone join Pixie? Yes! We welcome any new members with children or grandchildren ages 6 and under who would enjoy the park. Our members come from all over Marin.
-
What if I can't afford the Pixie membership fee but would like to join? Please get in touch with us at membership@pixiepark.org to discuss options. Everyone is welcome at Pixie Park!
